MORNINGTON Shire Council has reestablished its Rural Fire Brigade in the Gulf to help improve response times to blazes.
The Bureau of Meteorology announced a fire warning last week for the North West as a result of dry conditions, asking travellers and residents to take care and beware of bushfires after two fires occurred in the Gulf.
