Major support has been awarded to Mornington Shire Council last week, with the announcement of $1.647m boost for the Jetty and Foreshore Precinct in the Wellesley Islands Queensland. Jackie Trad MP, Deputy Premier, the Minister for Transport, Minister for Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning (DILGP) and Minister for Trade Minister announced the remote Council’s success for funding through the Queensland Government’s Community Resilience Fund. The redevelopment of the Jetty and Foreshore precinct is vital for building on the region’s strength, resilience and capability.
